What is an advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Nurse Practitioner)?
A nurse practitioner must complete a master’s or doctoral degree program along with advanced clinical hours beyond their initial registered nurse preparation. Hands-on and advanced clinical course work prepares nurses with more specialized knowledge and clinical competency to provide primary care, acute care and long term health care to a wide variety of patients.
